Call for Tutorials

Extensive tutorials have been an integral part of the 3DTV-CON conference program throughout its history. The tutorial session being an important factor in conveying practical and in-depth knowledge of different fields that constitute the entire distribution chain of 3D digital media.

Prospective presenters are invited to submit proposals for tutorials to be given at 3DTV-CON 2018 – the 12th 3DTV Conference on Capture, Transmission and Display of 3D Video, to be held on June 3-5 2018, on a ship  cruising between Stockholm, Sweden, and Helsinki, Finland.

Topics of interest

A tutorial may address any part, or parts, of the entire content chain: capture and post-production, coding and transmission, and visualization; with a special interest towards applications and demonstrations. Other topics related to the conference are also welcomed.

Proposal Guidelines

All tutorial proposals should contain a title, a 1-2 page description of the tutorial with a clear motivation about – and relevance of – the proposed topic, a comprehensive outline of the proposed content, and a biography of each tutorial presenter with contact information. The planned tutorial length should be two academic hours, i.e. 90 minutes in total.

Tutorial proposals will be peer-reviewed for relevance, quality, and value to the conference participants.

Tutorial proposals (in PDF-format) should be emailed to the tutorial chair, Dr. Roger Olsson (Roger.Olsson@miun.se) by the deadline of March 16, 2018.
